This post was one of my favorites, and may be the only post that inspired me to go out and spend money on junk food in order to make my point.
My roommate gave me a label for Glaceau Vitamin Water Formula 50 Grape, which is in my opinion way too long a name for water that tastes like watered down Kool Aid. Anyway, here’s what was written on the label:
50 Cents new album is bound to go platinum, so formula 50 decided to go platinum, too. Not to be outdone, we are happy to announce the release of our own album “Hydrate or Die Tryin’.” All we need is one little shout out at the MTV Video awards and bam! Suckaz be movin’ out the way at them beverege conferences. Plus, our drink has nutrients you need to fuel you through the day. That’s just how we roll in Queens.”
The water’s not really from Queens. It’s from Long Island. I’m sure there’s some form of distinction between the two places, but I could be wrong.
And I hate 50 Cent. Except for Lil Bit. Why would you use a rapper to advertise grape flavored water?

50 Cent “invented” the drink. I think he’s part-owner of the company, too.
