Updates

Much is going on.

The most exciting of which is that I got a new job. I’ll be starting at the Children’s Home on January 19, taking some time off in January since I have a ton on PTO to use up at the hospital. All in all, I’m thrilled because the hospital is getting on my last nerve for oh so many reasons and I am generally very bored with my life.

O is in China. He’s been there since the beginning of October, and it sucks but it just goes to show why this is a horribly imperfect situation. At least I know that “home” is Pittsburgh now and he’ll be back here with me before too long. Its hard since I know this has a looming expiration date and I’m not sure what happens then, but I’m pretty sure it ends up with me crying and alone, but I don’t care about that at the moment because, well, for the time being, I hear from him every day and he misses me. That’s enough for the moment.

Christmas is coming!!! It kind of sucks because I have to make my first mortgage payment at the end of the month and I’m super concerned about money, so much so I’ve paid my bills through the middle of December. Luckily, I’m only buying for my family this year. And O, but he’s only getting a Snuggie because he thinks it’s the most hilarious thing he’s ever seen. I’m getting something shiny from China.

My doctor changed my meds because she ran out of free samples and so she gave me something that’s a little cheaper and easier on my budget, and I’m not sure if it’s working right. I’m not anxious or depressed, but I’ve been having a lot of trouble with sleep this week. I either can’t sleep and get about 3 hours a night or I can’t wake up. Luckily, I can function on little sleep so long as I crash one day a week, which I did last night into this morning by getting 13 hours of sleep. Halp.

I’m boring lately. Bars make me annoyed and I pretty much just drink coffee and watch movies. I am so looking forward to  2010… new job and hopefully starting grad school in the fall. I long to be insanely busy again.

That’s great news Jen! All your hard work has brought some really positive accomplishments. You have had a better 2009 than the Steelers, for sure. Merry Christmas!–Bill

Good luck on your new job, Jen. I looked at the Children’s Home website, and it does much good.
